The Mercy Ministry at Emmaus exists to carry out the diaconal work of the church — caring for those in need with the compassion and generosity that the gospel produces in us. We believe that mercy isn't just a program; it's a reflection of who God is and what He calls His people to do. This ministry serves both within the Emmaus family and reaches outward into the broader Winter Garden and Oakland communities, meeting practical needs in the name of Jesus.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
Mercy Ministry efforts are organized and led by our deacons, who identify needs within the congregation and coordinate outreach opportunities in the community. Volunteers serve on a flexible basis and are notified of opportunities as they arise.
WHO CAN BE A PART OF THIS?
Anyone with a heart for serving others in hands-on, practical ways. No special skills are required — just a willingness to show up and love people well.
