Mission Trip to Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf

Picture
The Emmaus Church youth group conducted its first foreign mission trip June 13-20, 2015, at the Caribbean Christian Centre for the Deaf in Knockpatrick, Jamaica. The team helped with construction projects, painted buildings, played games, did crafts and grew close to the center’s children, many of whom are orphans. The church also donated clothing and supplies to CCCD, which is located in a remote mountainous region. “The trip was a wonderful way for our church to share God’s love and impact the lives of young people,” said Pastor David Netzorg, one of Emmaus’ 16 participants.

Car Wash Fundraiser

Reaching out to the community takes many forms. To raise money for a mission trip to work with deaf children in the mountains of Jamaica, our young people — and some not so young people — washed cars for a small donation at the Tijuana Flats in Winter Garden.
